Tomatillo Sauce aka Verde Salsa

Ingredients:

1 pound tomatillos, husked and rinsed

3 garlic cloves, unpeeled

Olive oil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes

1 lime juiced

1 tbls sugar

1 jalapeno, seeded and diced

¼ cup cilantro

Directions:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

  • Place the tomatillos and garlic on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil olive and add salt and pepper to taste; mix it all around. Bake for 30 minutes.

  • After letting the tomatillos and garlic cool for a little while, peel the garlic.

  • Add the garlic, tomatillos, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, and sugar to a blender and let blend for 30 seconds and there you have it!
